At season's end, teams are issued a power ranking for the off season. The power ranking is used to help determine lottery positions for the draft. Power rankings are from 1 to 12, with 1 being the highest.

Battle Bowl Champion - Team that wins the championship game at the end of the playoffs.
Conference Champion - Team that loses in the championship game at the end of the playoffs.
Division Champion - Teams that win their divisions at the end of the regular season.
Playoff Team - Team that makes the playoff at the end of the regular season as a non divisional champion (wild card team).
Non-Playoff Team - Team that does not make the playoffs at the end of the regular season.
